NFRC Strategic Plan

NFRC has partnered with the Northeast Citizen’s District Council to implement a community development strategic plan. This comprehensive neighborhood and redevelopment plan was adopted by the City of Flint in 2005. Although the strategic plan currently required revision updates, the City of Flint received a $1.5 Million federal grant in 2010 to update its Master Plan to include the Northeast Corridor, our primary planning development area. NFRC has also partnered with the City of Flint, Wade Trim, the Flint and Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the private sector to implement the comprehensive Northeast develpment plan.

Finally, the NFRC strategy will identify specific actons and projects that will be accomplished through our strong network of public and private partners. The strategy will encourage dialogue, discussions and a committed vision for the future of the NorthEast Flint area. Our staff, Board of Directors, and the North Flint Community Development Advisory Council will play a vital role in determining the actions and projects to be implemented within the framework fo the vision, mission, and neighborhood redevelopment plan.
